On Monday, January 19th 2015, the school began its first English lessons. This school doesn't count with an English program per se, but the principal of the school, J. Jesús Neri Rodriguez, decided it would be a good idea to give English lessons to the students. At first, the English lessons were tought to be given to students of 5th and 6th grade, but the rumors spread quickly in the school and, in less than one day, the students from other grades (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th) also wanted to have English lessons. That's what you call thirst for knowledge! The principal heard the students and the younger grades are also taking English lessons, though they began a week later, on Tuesday, January 27th.
The English lessons are being taught by teacher Vero and teacher Sam, both coming from the School of Foreign Languages of the University of Colima. Teacher Vero is currently studying her last semester and teacher Sam is a graduated student from such school.
As written in previous paragraphs, the school doesn't count with an English program, but these two teachers decided to use the English program they used during their "Teaching Practice" subject in school since they thought it was going to be a good idea. Of course, the program has some topic that the students haven't learned yet, but they took this into account and are starting with the very basics with each group.
